Ampotech Highlighted as Local Property and Energy Technology Innovator
21/11/2024Singapore-based internet of things startup Ampotech was one of several companies selected to showcase homegrown building technology innovation at the launch of the Built Environment Accelerate to Market Programme (BEAMP) on Friday.
The programme, initiated by the Building and Construction Authority of Singapore with support from Enterprise Singapore and JTC Corporation, aims to build up a vibrant ecosystem of innovators to support the transformation of the Built Environment Sector. A total of 16 industry problem statements seeking solutions were submitted by participating companies such as Surbana Jurong, JTC Corporation, and SoilBuild.
Minister for National Development and Second Minister for Finance Lawrence Wong opened the event and highlighted Ampotech in his speech:
“Another local energy tech company Ampotech has built a smart metering system that provides detailed energy consumption patterns of buildings. This allows building managers to detect areas with abnormal energy consumption patterns, and areas with high energy consumption. With the information collected, building managers can take a more targeted approach towards maintenance, and implement more energy efficient solutions.”
Minister Wong added, “We do want to encourage more of such BuildTech innovations.”
